Not often does Portland get a pileup of beautiful fluffy white snow. When it happens, there are equal parts joy and panic. Really though, it's a glorious event and I love going out late at night with Nathan to explore in the winter wonderland.
Tonight, we went down to Cathedral Park, under the St. Johns Bridge. People were skiing and snowboarding and sledding and having a wonderful time. We met John and his boxer dog, Floyd. Floyd was SO HAPPY about the snow and SO HAPPY to see us, and I laughed until my stomach hurt while watching him bound several feet in the air, giving us fly-by sneaker kisses in his utter elation. He clonked into my lens hood several times, circling back to once again fling himself in the air at my face with a giant tongue aiming for my nose. Such an awesome dog. John was pretty cool, too.
Have a wonderful weekend, folks! We sure will!
