I'm one of those weird people who will walk up to another woman and gush, "I LOVE YOUR HAIR!"  I blame my upbringing: The Princess Bride, Disney princesses, many of my picture books, Leia Organa on Endor, American Girls, books on French braiding... I love hair.

When I met Alex, I definitely had one of those gushing, weird moments of, "ALEX!  YOUR HAIR!"  Later, when we met in the Columbia River Gorge to make these engagement images, it was clear that Alex was having yet another amazing hair day, and I beamed at her.  

Hopefully she doesn't think I'm too much of a freak, or just love her for her hair.

Alex and Ben together are a lovely pair of puzzle pieces, fitting in that way that just makes me smile.  Their care of each other, the familiarity, the joy--it's magnetic.  I'm so excited for the end of August, when I join them for their wedding day!
