"Calm" - My award-winning piece from Big Lake in Central Oregon

Landscapes have been my obsession, escape and comfort since I started seriously photographing them in 2006.  I love the quiet, the immersion, the light-stalking, the patience and the fulfillment of creating these postcards from the places I visit.  Immersing myself into National Parks and other beautiful places is one of my favorite pastimes.

The photo to the right, 140 seconds at the foot of Big Lake in Central Oregon, unknowingly started my journey as a portrait & wedding photographer.  It won the Aperture Nature Photography award, leading me to my mentor, Scott.  Photographing people out in nature has become one of my true loves, and I continue to aggressively pursue integrating fine-art portrait and landscape techniques.

Occasionally, I host landscape photography workshops, small group photography tours, and one-on-one photo adventures.  If you are interested in joining me to take photographs in beautiful places, want to learn more about how to use a polarizer or heavy-duty neutral density filter, or need a boost on technique, contact me here.

I offer postcards, fine-art prints, canvases and other pretty things from the places I've been.  If you're interested, contact me above and we'll come up with the perfect piece for you.
