Genevieve & Matt's beautiful, lighthearted farm wedding brought several firsts for us: Alpacas in bowties, Darth Vader as a ring bearer (and total surprise to the Star Wars-loving groom), and catering by the Portland favorite ¿Por Que No ? restaurant. Hosted on Genevieve's family's alpaca farm in Warren, Oregon, the day was full of laughter, beautiful colors and wonderful people. Did I mention the alpacas in bowties?

The family spent the morning of the wedding dressing their alpacas up as a surprise to the bride and groom. There are few things that will melt your heart faster than an alpaca wearing a bowtie. It's so irresistibly cute that you want to hug them and take them home with you. Look at their faces!

Genevieve, knowing what a die-hard Star Wars fan Matt is, arranged for a special appearance. The official ringbearer didn't actually have the ring, and after he shrugged apologetically to the groom (and a tiny moment of panic), the Imperial March struck up and Darth Vader came down the aisle to deliver the ring. Matt's reaction was absolutely priceless. He had no idea it was coming.

Some of our favorite wedding professionals from the Wedding Lounge helped make the day extra-pretty. Joseph with Botanica Floral brought stunning arrangements and bouquets, My Bartender served up beautiful drinks, and Cupcake Jones made a drop-dead-gorgeous display of sweets.

Mt. Hood could always be viewed in the distance from the farm. The warm July evening stretched into beautiful twilight for their sparkler exit.
