This is Henry, born just a few weeks ago to my dear friend, Danielle, and her husband, Michael.

I've known Danielle since high school when she lived in Iowa and I lived here in Portland. She came out to visit one summer and we went to see waterfalls, ate Tillamook ice cream, and talked about boys and our future and all the wonderful things we'd do. Now she lives here, is a veterinarian and photographer, and has married a man who is so very perfect for her.

I'm so happy. Danielle is such a beautiful woman, and seeing her curled up with Henry melts my heart into a gooey puddle. In less than a month of being in the world, Henry has already visited the beach and waterfalls and beautiful places. He has so many adventures ahead, and I can't wait to see who he becomes.
