Happily Ever After: Chris & Diane's Elopement in Yachats & Cape Perpetua
On a breezy, warm September afternoon, I drove the winding forest roads of Highway 34 down to Yachats, Oregon. This cozy town sits along a craggy, wild bit of coastline where waves thunder merrily all day, no matter the tide. This place, and the glorious stretch of landscape just south (Cape Perpetua), is one of my favorite places in Oregon.
Diane and Chris flew in from Chicago to get married on Neptune Beach, a quiet wayside full of rocky formations and a misty forest. After meeting them at the Adobe Resort, we headed down to the beach for their ceremony. It was darling and full of laughter and smiles. After they signed their paperwork and made it all official, we headed out to explore the beaches and forests, finally coming back to the rocky shores of Yachats for sunset. Such the perfect day in Oregon, and I was so happy to have spent it with these two wonderful people.
